Belated Happy Birthday

People give birthday cards late, so can I put up a post celebrating Mamie's birthday late?!

Mamie's family Margret and Shawn came to town with their kids for Thanksgiving and so we took the opportunity to celebrate Mamie's Birthday. What better way to celebrate than eating Mexican food at Los Hermonos, our favorite Mexican restaurant. Mamie, an admitted bean-and-cheese-burrito-a-holic, was happy as could be.

Admitting you have a problem is the first step, sweetheart.

Overall Mamie's Birthday was a generally pleasant experience, with a chocolate cake for breakfast and lots of phone calls from loving family and friends. Thanks everybody.

I didn't realize till I lived in New England for a while that we ate a lot of Mexican food growing up. TexMex = yum. When we have company for dinner, my first instinct is to make enchiladas and Spanish rice and beans and guacamole, etc. We've had some friends who had never before tasted these goods! People out here eat lots of pasta and Italian food. Can't find a good Mexican restaurant around here. As for bean and cheese burritos, every time I make them at our house Broderick claims (quite frankly) that he could eat them every day! Kindred souls?

I love you, birthday girl!

I love you too, Birthday Girl! We are so glad to be attached in any way to your wonderful family. Your pink-car Daddy, your always-sweet Mama, your foxy sisters and your caterpillar-eating brother all go down just right with us Benacs!
